Longshan Temple was built in 1738, one of the oldest and famous Chinese religious temple in Taipei. It was established by immigrants from Fuijian and has been the center and house of worship.

Without further ado, our trip started in visiting Longshan Temple (龍山寺). Longshan Temple is a station away from Ximen station if you will ride in MRT Bannan Line or Blue Line. 

There were few people worshipping and providing their offerings when we visited the place. We strolled here around 30 minutes.

There's a beautiful water falls at one side near the entrance. There were few people taking photos here, too.

How to get there: Take the Blue Line / Bannan Line to Longshan Temple, take the Exit 1. The temple is located in the right side.

• 1978 J&G Fried Chicken / Ji Guang Xiang Xian Ji - Taiwan's best grab-and-go fried chicken.

• Ay-Chung Flour-Rice Noodles (阿宗麵線) - The famous food street in Ximending. Take note that there's a long queue and crowds of people standing around the area. We only ordered a small bowl of noodles, which costs TWD 55. The bowl consists rice noodles, pig intestines and cilantro in a streaming hot broth.

• Hot Star Fried Chicken (豪大大雞排) - It's popular because of its unusual large fried chicken.

For the transportation to/from Hong Kong International Airport, I initially planned to have a limousine or van rental service for easy travel. But with the Hong Kong's efficient train system, I chose this and I didn't regret it at all. My family was amazed and enjoyed the train system because it's a huge step ahead from our country, Philippines.

From Causeway Bay Station, we headed to Central Station and then took the HK Airport Express train there to the airport.

We took off the train on the left side (Terminal 1) and just walked a few meters to get to the departure hall. If your airline is located on Terminal 2, you have to take off on the right side. It's very easy and convenient for me.

Tip: This is applicable for all Filipinos out there. If you're going to a visa-free country like Hong Kong, Macau, etc., booked first a roundtrip ticket for about a couple of months or a year before. I'm appeased with the good reviews so I availed roundtrip CotaiJet Ferry Tickets from them. We chose Cotai Water Jet instead of TurboJet because we're staying in Cotai area, Parisian Macao. I will post our hotel experience on the next blog post.

Booking Process:

Choose your desired date of travel and pay through your credit card. After a few minutes, you will receive your booking information through Bookings dashboard as well as confirmation email on your e-mail's inbox.

For roughly USD 153.75 / around Php 8,000+, we already have roundtrip ferry tickets for 4 persons to/from Macau's Taipa. It's a good deal, right? 

Tip: Choose Cotai Water Jet if you're heading to Taipa, where Venetian Macao, Parisian Macao, Studio City, etc. are located. However, choose TurboJet if you're heading to Macao's Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal, near the city area. 

It takes an hour to get to your destination. I suggest to just take an earlier sailing time because the sea is very rough on the late afternoon or night time.

Where to redeem the ticket(s)?

Present your printed voucher(s) at their partner agency, Beng Seng Travel, to redeem the exchange ticket(s).

Note: You can only redeem the voucher(s) in Hong Kong so better to have it exchange at the Beng Seng Travel counter even if you're not sure about your exact time of travel. The voucher is only valid on the specified date (except time).

Next, use the exchange ticket to redeem the CotaiJet ticket. This is only applicable on Macao → Hong Kong travel. For Hong Kong → Macao, they already gave us the real CotaiJet tickets.

What I love about this procedure, it's cheap, very fast and efficient. Thank you Klook!

» Cotai Water Jet Review «

I was shocked when I received 4 free Eiffel Tower tickets from Cotai Water Jet valid until February 28, 2018. 

When I checked their website, they have this on-going promotion and valid until June 30, 2018. Terms and conditions apply.

As usual, I was a bit overwhelmed about my first ferry experience that I forgot to take a photo of the whole cabin. I'm a bit sorry for that. Plus, I also took precautionary measures while riding the ferry. I didn't stand up or went to a comfort room.

But for a brief preview, here's what you can expect from their cabin. 

• Cotai First - located on upper deck area of the ferry. It offers a great view of the outside. Passengers are given a complimentary food and beverage. It's not yet available on Klook.
• Cotai Class - located on the lower deck area of the ferry. Even though it's cheaper than the first one, it's modern and comfortable enough to stay here. It's available on Klook.
