I am Ulyssa Elaine - Travel, Food and Lifestyle Blogger

It's my 30th birthday that we decided to try this new restaurant in Tagaytay. It's located in a secluded part of Tagaytay without the view of Taal Volcano. Perfectly, they are pet-friendly restaurant, which we like because we bought along with us our pet, a shih tzu dog.

» Farmer's Table Tagaytay «

Farmer's Table is an al-fresco restaurant located inside Nurture Wellness Village and Spa in Tagaytay City. They also have a bakery and offers fresh from farm to table cuisine. They also offers delivery thru Foodpanda.

You may view their menu online through this link: https://www.raintreehospitality.net/farmerstablemenu. To reserve a table or for takeout/delivery, you can contact their Viber number +63-917-873-5943.

» The Experience «

We are a family of 14. Unfortunately, they were fully booked for online reservation so we just opt for walk-in. We arrived at around 1:00 pm for our lunch. The waiting time until we seated at the restaurant took at least 30 mins. For our food orders, it took around another 30 mins. It is best to book for a reservation beforehand (maybe 2-3 days before).

We ordered 2 orders of Tofu Sisig (Php 350), 1 order of Just Vegetable Kare-kare (Php 495), 2 orders of Pork BBQ Skewers on a Grill (Php 475), 2 orders of California-Style Roasted Rosemary Lemon Garlic Chicken (Php 695), 2 orders of Garden Fresh Vegetable Pad Thai (Php 475), 1 order of Chili Garlic Pork Knuckle "Crispy Pata" (Php 995) and Beer-Battered Fish & Chips (Php 575).

The price range for the food was pretty expensive but it's worth it. On my personal opinion, you get what you paid for. The taste of every dishes that we ordered was superb!

This post is long overdue. It was in March 2021 when we dined in at Angelfields Nature Sanctuary's Cucina Bernardo.

» Angelfields Nature Sanctuary «

Angelfields Nature Sanctuary, opened in 2012, is a luxurious event place located along Tagaytay - Sta Road. It is few kilometers away from Tagaytay town proper. They also have a restaurant named Cucina Bernardo.

We had our dinner at their restaurant and it was actually located at the lush gardens of Holy Family Garden. We just decided to have a dinner there (to have a food tasting) because it will be the venue of our December wedding. Wanna look at our wedding? Here's the link.

The food was nice during our first visit. My favorite is Braised Beef Belly. It was superb! I took note of this and it was served during our wedding reception.

We ordered Grilled Norwegian Salmon (P755), Braised Beef Belly (Php 615), Crispy Smoked Bangus (Php 450), Mini Pork BBQ (Php 250), Pumpkin Soup (Php 180), Mushroom Soup, Rice (for sharing) (Php 130) and Vanilla Milkshake (Php 230 each).

This post is long overdue. It was in May 2021 when we dined in at Farm Hills Garden to celebrate the wedding anniversary of my parents.

» Farm Hills Garden «

Farm Hills Garden, opened in 2019, is an event place, a bed and breakfast as well as a cafe and restaurant. It is situated in Brgy. Ulat, Silang, Cavite. It is a few kilometers away from Tagaytay town proper.

» The Experience «

We had our lunch at the restaurant. Unfortunately, it took a while before we had our table because of the long queue. It's better to have a reservation beforehand.

We ordered Four-cheese Pizza (Php 390), Aglio Olio (Php 350), Chicken Teriyaki (Php 350), and Sinigang na Bangus Belly (Php 420). We also ordered ripe mango shake (Php 140) and two orders of vanilla milkshare (Php 160 each) ***not included on the photos.

Tip: I recommend to take a private vehicle instead of commute because the place is few meters away from the highway or the main road.

At Friday night (the night before my departure back to my home country), my aunt's family treated me in a famous restaurant in Edmonds.

» Anthony's HomePort & Beach Cafe «

Anthony's HomePort & Beach Cafe, owned by the Anthony's Restaurant Group, is a famous restaurant chain in the Pacific Northwest. It started in Bellevue, Washington in 1969 and then grew up to this date.

» My Dining Experience «

My uncle reserved a slot for us. I'm not sure if walk-ins are possible so be sure to contact the restaurant beforehand.

The servers were friendly and attentive even if they're busy. They even suggested food that we must try. The menu was perfect and everything was delicious.

I ordered a three-course meal worth $25. For the starter, I ordered Anthony's Clam Chowder. For the entree, I ordered Double R Ranch Signature Top Sirloin, a grilled sirloin served with seasonal vegetables. For the dessert, I ordered Burnt Cream.

The ambiance was great and perfect for family and dinner dates. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone. :)

After visiting Chihuly Garden, I walked for a few minutes going to Armory Building. I felt the Christmas vibes inside the building.

Can you spot the stall of MOD Pizza?

» MOD Pizza «

MOD Pizza, founded in 2008, is Seattle-based fast food pizzeria that offers made-to-order pizzas and salads. Now, the have more than 400 locations in the United States and United Kingdom.

» The Experience «

I already planned ahead of time that I will dine-in here. I would like to try out the famous pizza in Seattle area. I love the idea of creating my own pizza with any combination of toppings for a certain price. Don't worry because they also have suggested pizza combinations if you're not comfortable of DIY.

The line was not long when I went there. The ordering process was moving smoothly. Though the baking process took about 5-10 minutes but it's okay because I was not in a hurry.

I ordered 11-inch Mad Dog pizza, which consisted of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mild sausage, ground beef but without red sauce.

I was impressed with the taste even though the look wasn't appetizing because of the burned part. Apologies, it's my first time trying out pizza straight from the bricked oven.

Ramen Nagi is one of the most famous restaurant in Japan, established by Ramen Master Chef Ikuta Satoshi in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2006. They also have branch in Hong Kong and popularly known as Butao, after its popular signature ramen. The Manila franchise was opened last December 2013 and now they opened their Alabang branch last August 2018 (last month).

I love the Japanese-style vibe outside the restaurant but the place inside is a bit small. I preferred to go with the group. 😀

The kitchen is open-space so you can actually see how they prepare the ramen. How cool, right?

Without further ado, I had a taste of their famous original butao ramen. Take note that during the peak hours, the restaurant often gets full so be early. They don't take reservations and only accepts walk-ins.

A bowl of ramen is a bit pricey but it's worth it. Here are the ramen options:
  • Butao King (Php 390.00) - original
  • Black King (Php 410.00) - garlic and squid ink
  • Red King (Php 410.00) - spicy
  • Green King (Php 410.00) - basil and cheese

What I love about Ramen Nagi is you can customize your ramen by filling out the order slip. If you don't have any idea on what to get, simply check the "Chef Recommendation" box.

Here's what I ordered, Original Butao King:

Condiments

Take Note: They do not allow leftover or takeout so finish your order right there.

Overall, me and my officemates enjoyed our ramen. Ramen is a great comfort food for a cold weather, right?

How about you? Have you tried their Butao King? Share your experience?
