I am Ulyssa Elaine - Travel, Food and Lifestyle Blogger

Where are you going for honeymoon? My common answer was "I don't know yet". Not until our wedding was finalized (around Ber months). I was assigned to choose where it will be and my fiance (now my husband) just accepted my suggestion: CORON, PALAWAN.

Note: I really enjoy the freedom of planning my own trip that's why we didn't avail any honeymoon package at all.

As of December 2021, the three major airlines operating directly to Coron were Philippine Airlines, Sunlight Air and Cebu Pacific Air. We chose the latter one: Cebu Pacific Air.

24-hour front desk. The receptionists are friendly and easy to communicate with. They assist guests for airport shuttle and tour arrangements.

In-House Roundtrip Airport Transfer.
Arrival. Days before our stay, I emailed reservations@bacaubaycoron.com about our situation. We availed their in-house roundtrip airport transfer (airport - resort - airport). Upon arrival at the airport, the staff holding the resort name signage was easy to find. He assisted us on our luggages and even gave us a welcome drink, one bottled water each. The driver was friendly and approachable. The transition was smooth. We rode on the private van. After 30 minutes, we arrived at the resort.
Departure. Going back to the airport, the receptionist as well as the general manager assisted us with our luggages as we board the van. They even gave us photo souvenirs from our private tour as well as from the resort itself.

Fast check-in / check-out. They were aware of the guests, who were arriving and departing. I love how they were organized. I just presented my valid id and signed some forms. They also gave us some refreshments as we arrived at the resort. They even assisted us with our luggages to our assigned room.

In-room desserts. Every night, the staff delivered some desserts with notes from the general manager. I even collected eight notes as our souvenir. On the Christmas eve, they also delivered a bottle wine as Christmas present. We really appreciated it.

Swimming pool. Available from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. After our island tours, we took a dip in the pool and refresh!

Lawn badminton. Available from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. We played badminton once in the morning.

Complimentary Kayak. We availed the free 30-minute kayak around the Bacau Bay's mangrove area. We also had a tour guide, who took us several pictures while we paddled around the mangrove area.

Exclusive Pier for Private Island Tours. All boat tours are inclusive of lunch, desserts, entrance fees to sites, licensed tour guide, snorkeling gear, first aid kit, bottled water, towels and government taxes.
Coron Island Tour. We availed the tour, which composts of the following destinations: Siete Picados, Kayangan Lake, Smith Beach (lunch), Twin Lagoon and Barracuda Lake. I will share the details on my next blog post.

» Overall «

Just like what I said on my previous reviews, I do love our 9-day stay in Bacau Bay Resort Coron. They had the amenities and perks that we looked for in a honeymoon trip. The staffs as well as the general manager really cared for us, a true FILIPINO hospitality. We had the BEST TIME on our trip to Coron and if I will be given a chance, I would love to live here. 😄

Date of stay: December 18 - 27, 2021

We would like to thank and mention some of the staffs, who took care of us during our 9-day trip: General Manager Gilbert, Mr Twing, Mr William, Mr Jojo and Ms Jas.
