I am Ulyssa Elaine - Travel, Food and Lifestyle Blogger

Traveling with my family is one of my happiness. Whenever I realize that my parents are getting older, I would love to share my blessings and to take them to beautiful places. I want to create memories that will be reminisced later on. Others said, family vacations can improve family communication and bonding. How cool is that, right?

Two years ago, I brought my sister to our dream country, which is South Korea. Up to now, I can’t believe that I was able to pay and treat her on our one-week vacation. Then now, I was able to save for our family trip (4 people)!!! Sorry I’m not bragging about it but I’m amazed of how God helped me to fulfill our dreams.

Without further ado, how did my family transport ourselves to Paris? Paris is one of my dream countries to travel on. It is every one's bucket list, right? I would love to bring my family there but for now, I discovered that there's a good alternative and we can transport to Paris in just two hours?! Really? Haha. Thanks to Parisian Macao, Paris feels is just around the corner.

» The Parisian Macao «

The Parisian Macao, opened in September 2016 and owned by Las Vegas Sands, is a luxurious hotel located in Cotai, Macao. It offers 3000 luxurious rooms, Eiffel Tower miniature, luxurious shopping mall, an outdoor pool and also water park.

» Booking Procedure «

You can book through its website. You can also book through Agoda, Booking.com, and other hotel booking websites.

For us, I booked through its website because I want to get in touch and to fulfill our needs. It was my first time and I can say that it's not hassle that I think off. After the booking, I automatically received an email with reservation confirmation details.

More than a week before our hotel stay, I received a welcome email from the guest's relations team. They asked for our personal information as well as some information regarding our stay. Normally, if I booked a hotel from other third-party hotel booking sites, I never receive this kind of email. I love how The Parisian Macao take care of its guests' needs.

» Rooms «

The hotel has 3000 rooms to choose from. I booked the famous room, Lyon Suite for our family of 4. My family were very satisfied on our hotel experience.

Here are the list of the room types:
  • Deluxe Room - 33 m²/ 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds (Standard View)
  • Eiffel Tower Room - 33 m²/ 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds (Eiffel Tower View)
  • Famille Room - 47 m²/ 1 Queen-sized Bed and 1 Children's Bunk Bed (Standard View)
  • Lyon Suite - 72 m²/ 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds (Garden View or Eiffel Tower View)

All rooms are located in 7th floor to 29th floor. Smoking and non-smoking room are also available upon request.

Additionally, all rooms include:
  • Bathroom with shower and bathtub
  • Fully stocked mini bar
  • High-speed WIFI internet service
  • Complimentary shuttle bus
  • The Parisian Macao signature bath products
  • 55" HDTV
  • Wardrobe
  • In-room save
  • Hairdryer
  • Iron and ironing board

Here's the preview of our room, Lyon Suite with Eiffel Tower View:

» Amenities / Services «

VIP Lounge. We were instructed to head over the VIP Lounge, which I felt that we're treated as VIP guests. My mom kept asking me why and what's happening because she never imagined that we will be staying in a grand and luxurious hotel. Hehe.

Early check-in, late check-out. For as low as HKD 150++, you can check in as early as 10 am and check-out as late as 4pm. You can contact the hotel reservations for more details.

Access to Hotel Pool. We failed to avail this one because of the cold weather when we got there.

Access to Health Club.

Eiffel Tower. We availed it for free because it's inclusive for hotel guests. It is valid until December 19, 2018.

Our Hong Kong / Macau vacation started with travelling from Hong Kong to Macau.

Why did we choose to travel from Manila → Hong Kong instead of direct flight from Manila → Macau?
  • Because this trip was a part sponsored by my current employer. Thank you so much **** for this Hong Kong trip benefit!

I planned this trip for about 6 months. I booked our roundtrip tickets last July 2017 and our trip was last February 4 - 8, 2018.

Tip: This is applicable for all Filipinos out there. If you're going to a visa-free country like Hong Kong, Macau, etc., booked first a roundtrip ticket for about a couple of months or a year before. Then, start your itinerary and looked for a nice and affordable to stay in. I'm not bragging about it though but I didn't find it hard to sponsor our family of 4 trip to Hong Kong and Macau because of this kind of planning.

Me travelling back to Hong Kong via Cotai Water Jet

» Klook Review «

Fast forward, I heard of good reviews from others about Klook. They have great travel deals. I'm appeased with the good reviews so I availed roundtrip CotaiJet Ferry Tickets from them. We chose Cotai Water Jet instead of TurboJet because we're staying in Cotai area, Parisian Macao. I will post our hotel experience on the next blog post.

Booking Process:

It's very easy to book from them. Sign-up on their website and then head over to this link https://www.klook.com/activity/1456-macau-cotaijet-macau/. Choose your desired date of travel and pay through your credit card. After a few minutes, you will receive your booking information through Bookings dashboard as well as confirmation email on your e-mail's inbox.

For roughly USD 153.75 / around Php 8,000+, we already have roundtrip ferry tickets for 4 persons to/from Macau's Taipa. It's a good deal, right?

Tip: Choose Cotai Water Jet if you're heading to Taipa, where Venetian Macao, Parisian Macao, Studio City, etc. are located. However, choose TurboJet if you're heading to Macao's Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal, near the city area.

It takes an hour to get to your destination. I suggest to just take an earlier sailing time because the sea is very rough on the late afternoon or night time.

Sailing Information:

Head over this link to check the ferry's schedule.

Where to redeem the ticket(s)?

Present your printed voucher(s) at their partner agency, Beng Seng Travel, to redeem the exchange ticket(s).

Note: You can only redeem the voucher(s) in Hong Kong so better to have it exchange at the Beng Seng Travel counter even if you're not sure about your exact time of travel. The voucher is only valid on the specified date (except time).

Next, use the exchange ticket to redeem the CotaiJet ticket. This is only applicable on Macao → Hong Kong travel. For Hong Kong → Macao, they already gave us the real CotaiJet tickets.

What I love about this procedure, it's cheap, very fast and efficient. Thank you Klook!

Redemption Counters:

Beng Seng Travel - Shop 310 - 312, Shun Tak Centre, 200 Connaught Road, Hong Kong
  • Opening Hours: 9:00 am - 1:00 am

CotaiJet - Cotai Water Jet Ticketing Counter (Counter 1-12, Level 2), Taipa Ferry Terminal, Macao
  • Opening Hours: 24 hours

» Cotai Water Jet Review «

I was shocked when I received 4 free Eiffel Tower tickets from Cotai Water Jet valid until February 28, 2018.

When I checked their website, they have this on-going promotion and valid until June 30, 2018. Terms and conditions apply.

As usual, I was a bit overwhelmed about my first ferry experience that I forgot to take a photo of the whole cabin. I'm a bit sorry for that. Plus, I also took precautionary measures while riding the ferry. I didn't stand up or went to a comfort room.

But for a brief preview, here's what you can expect from their cabin.

  • Cotai First - located on upper deck area of the ferry. It offers a great view of the outside. Passengers are given a complimentary food and beverage. It's not yet available on Klook.
  • Cotai Class - located on the lower deck area of the ferry. Even though it's cheaper than the first one, it's modern and comfortable enough to stay here. It's available on Klook.
