Shinsaibashi is a district in the Chuo-ku ward of Osaka, Japan. It's famous for its shopping street, Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street.

One of the reasons we chose to stay here because of its location and accessibility to major train stations. From Osaka International Airport Terminal 1, we used the Nankai Rapi:t Kansai Airport Express to Namba and from Namba, we travelled to Nagahoribashi Station.

» Best Western Hotel Fino Osaka Shinsaibashi «

24-hour front desk. All of their receptionists are friendly and easy to communicate with. We arrived in the evening and we were accommodated well.

Fast check-in / check-out. After checking the system and settling the Japanese local tax of 100 yen per night, they gave us the electronic keys of our room.

Hotel check-in and check-out. The standard check-in time is 3:00 pm and the standard check-out time is 10:00 am. We requested the staff if we can store our luggage and picked it up at 2:00 pm (so we can have a lunch before heading back to the airport) and it was granted without an additional charge.

Pocket WiFi Delivery. We booked a pocket wifi and it was delivered straight to the hotel. Right after we checked-in, the receptionist handled me the pocket wifi and it's intact and no damage at all.

Microwave (available in the lobby).

Wash room (available in the lobby).

Shibuya is one of the most popular areas of Tokyo. It is the center of youth fashion and culture. It is also famous of its crowded and busiest pedestrian crossing, Shibuya Crossing.

One of the reasons I chose to stay here because it is lively and modern. What I also love about here is it's very accessible to the major train stations. If you will ride a Narita Express train from Narita International Airport (Terminal 2), it's just 2 stops away (Shibuya Station).

» Hotel Wing International Premium Shibuya «

Hotel Wing International Premium Shibuya is a 3-star business hotel located in Shibuya district. The hotel is just 500 meters away from Shibuya Crossing, which makes it accessible. The hotel participates "COOL CHOICE", a nation-wide campaign for sustainability.

24-hour front desk. All of their receptionists are friendly and easy to communicate with. We arrived in late evening around 11:00 pm and we were accommodated well.

Fast check-in / check-out. After checking the system and settling the Japanese local tax of 100 yen per pax, they gave us the electronic keys of our room.

Affordable extension of hotel check-out. We requested for a late check-out of 1:00 pm so we can have a lunch first. It costs 1000 yen per hour.

Room cleaning. They will clean the room every 3 days during the stay.

No amenities in the rooms. As part of their sustainability campaign, they didn't provide amenities in the rooms BUT the guests are free to take some from the amenities corner in the lobby.

Weighing scale in the lobby. What I love about this hotel is they provided this for guests. It's good that before we check-out, we're aware on the weight of our luggages especially we did lots of shopping.

» Overall «

We stayed here from September 2 (dawn) to September 3 (evening) of 2022. I booked our stay from September 1 to 4, 2022 with their promo Family City Break. The nightly stay is not too pricey and I think it's worth it. Imagine after going out from the hotel, you can conveniently access the major malls and restaurants. The location is really perfect. The hotel room is clean and comfortable, too. I do recommend this hotel.

As newly weds, I believe that romance shouldn't stop. I mean, go pack your bags and keep having adventures. So we had our first Valentine's trip as a married couple at Okada Manila.

» Okada Manila «

Okada Manila, opened in December 2016, is a 5-star casino resort and hotel complex in the Philippines. It is a massive complex spanning of 44 hectares located in the Entertainment City in Parañaque City, Metro Manila.

» Booking Procedure «

You can book through its website okadamanila.com or through other reliable third-party booking sites such as Booking.com or Agoda.com.

I booked the latter one for a better hotel deal with free cancellation. Why? I was afraid that the alert levels (recommended by IATF) will change again in the Philippines so it's better to be prepared.

» Rooms «

» Overall «

Upon parking in the basement, we headed to the Coral Wing and checked in at their glamorous lobby at around 2:30 pm. Yes, we were so early and we didn't fall in line that long considering that we were booked in a peak season. I salute them for the fast transaction. It was a five-star hotel resort indeed! Just take note that there's a Php 5000 refundable (upon checkout) deposit (in cash) at the lobby.

Upon entering the room, we were welcomed with a nice, calming music. One of my favorites' is the DigiValet Service, a fully-automated iPad device that controls the lights, sounds, air-condition, curtains, act as a remote for the television as well can be used for hospitality requests. Our assigned room was on the 9th floor, facing the pool and the Manila Bay. Everything looks luxurious to us and the money was well spent.
