After 2 years of working in Makati City, I’ve transferred to Alabang for new and challenging environment. It’s really tiring to commute everyday (3 hours only for one way travel. Yay!). Anyways, I’m currently working at Madrigal Business Park, Ayala Alabang. Molito Lifestyle Mall is just a few steps away from my workplace. During my 1st week at work, I’ve tried few affordable restaurants in Molito Lifestyle Mall.
BBQ Chicken and Beer
During my first day (January 5, 2015), I’ve tried this restaurant. Do you know that they are promoting healthy eating by using 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil? Yes! You heard it right! Extra Virgin Coconut Oil has many health benefits.
***It’s not Barbecue. It’s Best of the Best Quality Chicken!
Update: The store is now closed.
Grilled Chicken Bulgalbi Set (2 pcs) - Php 235.00 High quality fresh meat barbecued with special grilled chicken sauce for creating Korean unique taste. |
Recovery Food
I’ve tried this restaurant last Wednesday (January 7, 2015). If you want to recover something like poor health, etc, you may try this one. Recovery Food also uses organic rice. They also have brown rice too! They are open 24 hours a day.
Porqua - Php 185.00 (Tender brined pork fillets with organic petchay rice (brown or white) |
Cravings
They serves continental dishes. They also serves salad for their buffet.
Update: The store is now closed.
Tenderloin Tips Skillet - Php 480.00 Tender cuts of beef sautéed with in-season vegetables |
Salad |
Four Cheese Lasagna - Php 340.00 Layers of pasta and red meaty sauce topped with creamy béchamel |
Soga Miga
If you're looking for an authentic Korean restaurant, this restaurant is worth to try. It's better if you're in a group. The restaurant often gets full mostly at lunch and dinner time.
Update: The store is now closed. But they have a branch in Silang, Cavite. You can try it there. :)

Singapore and Malaysia countries were one of my dream countries to travel since my sister and my mom went there last 2011 to celebrate my sister's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, I was not able to go with them before because I was busy struggling to graduate on time.
This 2014, my dream came true when my cousins invited me to join with them and visit the countries that I've been dreaming for. I was very happy that my parents agreed to travel alone (without them) and only my cousins, aunt and nephews were with me.
Without further ado, I'll be sharing my itinerary for my 1-week trip. This was my first time traveling using my own hard-earned money. 😊
Day 1 (February 26, 2014) : Manila to Singapore
Our flight at that time was 1:40 pm to 5:10 pm via Cebu Pacific Air.
As we arrived at Singapore International Airport, we checked in at our hotel: Tai Hoe Hotel and headed to Mustafa Center to buy pasalubong for our loved ones.
Day 2 (February 27, 2014) : Universal Studios Singapore
I posted my experience on my other blog post: My Universal Studios Singapore Experience. Kindly check it.
Day 3 (February 28, 2014) : Chinatown, Orchard, Esplanade Theater, Fullerton Road / Esplanade Drive and Singapore Flyer
We headed to Chinatown to buy also some pasalubong and to have a lunch at Chinatown Complex.
After that, we went to Orchard Road to buy also some pasalubong + series of shopping.
After a series of shopping galore, we headed to Esplanade Theater and walked to Fullerton Road / Esplanade Drive.
Our final itinerary for that day was we went to Singapore Flyer. I'm afraid of heights but I conquered it! Yey!
Day 4 (March 1, 2014) : Bugis, IT Show, Clarke Quay and Merlion Park
My aunt, my other cousin and 2 nephews travelled back to Manila on our 4th day. So I was with my 2 cousins and 1 nephew. We transferred to a hostel in Bugis to save money for the next 3 days.
After transferring to another hostel, we headed to IT Show located in Marina Bay Convention Centre. Kindly check my other post: Singapore's Largest IT, Digital, Mobile & Consumer Electronics Exhibition: IT Show 2014
Our long walking tour started here. We headed to Clarke Quay and some photo-ops.
We passed by at Cavenagh Bridge then football field (Sorry I don't know the name of the field.).
Then, walked to Esplanade Bridge again to reach the Merlion Park.
Day 5 (March 2, 2014) : Bugis, Meet-up with Friends, etc.
We passed by at the Kuan Yin Thong Hood Cho Temple, which is located in Waterloo Street.
My cousin met her friends and former co-workers. I forgot the other places, where we went but here's the glimpse of it.
Day 6 (March 3, 2014) : Singapore - Malaysia Cross-Border, Orchard Road and Hard Rock Cafe
We went to Johor Bahru, Malaysia and had a lunch there.
Then, we headed to Orchard again to do some shopping (again?!!!)
Our last itinerary for that day was we had a dinner at Hard Rock Cafe Singapore located in Orchard Road.
Day 7 (March 4, 2014) : Singapore to Manila
Our flight going back to Manila was 6:40 pm to 10:20 pm. I felt I was on a jet lag the day after but still I worked at the office.

IT Show 2014 is a yearly event that showcases Singapore's LARGEST consumer electronics exhibition. It occupies Suntec City Convention Centre.
I was very happy to witness the said event. Unfortunately, I didn't purchase any of the products there. But it was a great experience to see high-end gadgets on sale. 😁

February 27, 2014 - Our second day in Singapore started with visiting the famous "Universal Studios Singapore". It's my first time to go there and it's my 3rd international amusement park that I've been after HK Disneyland and HK Ocean Park way back in 2010.
Universal Studios Singapore is Southeast Asia's first Universal Studios park. The park occupies 20 hectares of land. How big, right? It was opened last May 28, 2011.
» Before the Trip «
We purchased the tickets through my cousin's friend, who works and lives in Singapore. We only purchased a one-day pass ticket, which costs $76. For child ages 4 years old to 12, the ticket costs $56. For seniors ages 60 and above, the ticket costs $38.
The park also offers annual pass (unlimited one year) and season pass (unlimited 6 months). You can refer their website for more information.
» When is the Best Time to Go There? «
Singapore is a tropical country like Philippines. It's really hot when we went there. I can say anytime is a good day to come but make sure there's no typhoon when you go there. To avoid crowds, it is best to go there early so you can maximize your time on every attractions.
I was able to grab a photo with the Universal Studios globe above 👆 with the less-crowd because we went there early.
» What are the Park's Opening Time? «
The standard opening hours are as follows:
- 10:00 am - 7:00 pm (non-peak seasons)
- 10:00 am - 9:00 pm (peak seasons)
» How to Get There? «
Universal Studios Singapore is located inside Resorts World Sentosa. The nearest MRT is HarbourFront Station.
» What to Wear? «
This is an amusement park. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Avoid wearing bulky clothing.
» What to See? «
Upon entering the park, look for the Universal Studios SG map or download the USSG map app on your phone.
There are 7 different zones in the park:
1. Holywood
On the Holywood Boulevard, there are street entertainment (street singers / actors), walk of fame (photo below), dining and shopping boutiques.
2. New York
On New York boulevard, there are also street entertainment (sesame street stage shows), ride (photo below), dining and shopping boutiques as well.
3. Sci-Fi City
On Sci-Fi City, there are rides: Battlestar Galactica (second photo below), Accelerator, and TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle. The only tried the latter one as I was afraid to try the first two mentioned. You can also see the Transformer replica here and I did some photo-ops. Good thing, I was able to have a photo (with less crowd again).
4. Ancient Egypt
For the Ancient Egypt section, I was able to try the ride: Revenge of the Mummy. I didn't try the other one: Treasure Hunters.
5. Lost World
Are you fan of the movie "Jurassic Park"? There are few rides here namely: Amber Rock Climb, Canopy Flyer, Dino-Soarin, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure and WaterWorld.
6. Far Far Away
This section was our last adventure for that day. Hopefully, I will have a chance to go here again soon. 😉
7. Madagascar
Unfortunately, we didn't have photos from Madagascar section. But you can check their website for more information.
