Singapore Day 3: Chinatown Singapore

The trip in Singapore is not complete if you will not go to Chinatown. Chinatown is an area with rich Chinese culture. It is filled with restaurants, shops, museums and also temple.



How to go there?

Take MRT to Chinatown Station and take Exit A.





What to see?

  • Buddha Tooth Relic Temple - Build in 2007, it is a five-storey temple with extensive collections of Buddhist culture, art and history. It is opened daily, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

  • Singapore Coins and Notes Museum - It is the country's first and only museum dedicated to display the Singapore's currency. It is opened from 10 am to 8 pm.

Where to eat?

  • Maxwell Road Hawker Center - It is located opposite of Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Note: It is very crowded during lunch hours on weekdays.


  • Chinatown Food Street - It is located on Smith Street. It is the one of the best places to eat cheap and tasty authentic food in Singapore.

  • Chinatown Street Market


Will I recommend the place?

Yes! It's a good place to shop for "pasalubongs".
