South Korea Day 5: Jade Garden Natural Arboretum (제이드가든 수목원)

by - Sunday, July 10, 2016

March 5, 2016 - Our 5th day in Seoul was a rainy day. The first one on our travel list was to go to Nami Island but because of the weather, we didn't push it through. So we decided to jump on our itinerary and chose to travel the second one, which was Jade Garden.

Jade Garden is an arboretum located in Chuncheon, South Korea. It was opened in April 2011. It is called as "Small Europe in the Forest" and has been famous for filming locations of Korean movie and Korean dramas. One notable Korean drama was That Winter, The Wind Blows (2013), which was starred by Song Hye Kyo and Jo In Sung

In Garden Restaurant

After roaming around the place, we decided to take a lunch in In Garden. Most items in the menu are fresh from the garden.

Garden Pork Cutlet - KRW 11,000

Dried Pollack Hangover Soup - KRW 10,000

How to Get There?

Ride an ITX going to Cheongpyeong Station. Ride a taxi from there because Jade Garden is not included on the Gapyeong Circle Bus attractions.
