After eating pizza from MOD Pizza, I walked for a few meters and reached the monorail. Riding in a monorail is not new to me. I have been to few monorails in Asia so I would like to try one in Seattle.

Seattle Center Monorail, built in 1962, is the Seattle's first full-scale commercial monorail system and one of Seattle's icon.
It has two routes: Seattle Center Station (adjacent to the Space Needle) and Westlake Station (5th Avenue and Pine Street).
It departs approximately every 10 minutes from two stations. Each trip takes 2 minutes.

I bought a one-way ticket to Westlake Station.
The ride was fast and smooth. Though, it was raining really hard so I just stayed inside the Westlake Center mall.
After a few hours, I bought a one-way ticket back to Seattle Center Station and continued my scheduled trip to MoPOP. I will share it on my next blog post.
Fun facts: Did you know the monorail has 64 tires! Just got this information while I was waiting for the monorail.
