I am Ulyssa Elaine - Travel, Food and Lifestyle Blogger

After the holidays, I was scheduled to visit one of Seattle's favourite attractions, Boeing Future of Flight. If you're fan of aviation, you might be interested visiting the place.

» Boeing Future of Flight «

Boeing, founded in 1916, is one of the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world.

The Boeing Future of Flight, located in Mulkiteo, Washington, is one of the Seattle's favourite attractions. It is the only commercial aircraft assembly plant in North America that is open to the public. Due to this, there are certain restrictions and it is strictly enforced.

» Admission «

The admission includes Boeing Factory Tour, Aerospace Gallery and Sky Deck admission. The factory tour lasts in 90 minutes. Below are the rates (as of May 2020):

Adult Rate (Ages 16+):        $27

Youth (Ages 16 below):       $17 (children under 4 feet tall is not allowed)

Senior (Ages 65+):               $25

Military (with ID):                $22

Boeing Employee (with ID): $12

» Restrictions «

As I said earlier, the restrictions are strictly enforced. Cameras, mobile phones and electronic devices are not allowed. Purses, bags, and binoculars are also not allowed.

Photography is only allowed on the Future of Flight Aviation Center but not allowed in the Boeing Factory Tour.

Children below 4 feet are not allowed on the Boeing Factory Tour. They are only allowed to explore the Aerospace Gallery, enjoy the views at the Sky Deck, visit the Boeing Store and have a snack at the Paper Plane Cafe.

» The Experience «

As a traveller, I was thrilled to see how aircrafts are built. I would like to learn more about history of aircraft making and to see the Boeing 7-series.

My scheduled tour was December 26 at 1:00 pm. My uncle dropped me off at the building's entrance. The first thing that I did was to secure my belongings at the free lockers in the Future of Flight lobby. There are no toilets available during the Boeing Factory Tour so be sure do your business before your scheduled time. Don't worry because there are toilets available at the lobby.

At the scheduled time, there will be a professional Boeing employee that will guide you on the factory tour. They will scan first the QR code on the ticket and then take you to a movie theater, where they will brief you on what to expect. After that, they will divide everyone into 2 groups and proceed to the tour bus. Unfortunately, I can't share photos on how wonderful the tour was. It was really an amazing experience indeed.

Just a piece of advice, be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Be prepared of long walks and lots of walking down and up the stairs.

I ended the tour by visiting the Boeing Store for pasalubongs.

After the holidays, my aunt and my uncle invited me to join them as we spent a few hours in Tulalip Resort Casino. If you are visiting Washington State, odds as you've at least heard of this casino.

» Tulalip Resort Casino «

Tulalip Resort Casino, opened in 2003, is an Indian casino and resort in Washington, operated by Tulalip Tribes of Washington. It is located about 40 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

» My Experience «

Not only it's best known for its casino, you'll find the beautiful hotel rooms and great restaurants, spa service as well as top-notch entertainment.

It reminds me of Macau, the "Las Vegas of Asia". Though the resort stands out more of its tribal art designs to pay the homage of Tulalip Tribes.

Trivia: It's pretty close to Seattle Premium Outlets. You can pay a visit to this mall. I will share my experience on my next blog post.

After watching the ballet performance Pacific Northwest Ballet's The Nutcracker, my aunt and her family fetched me as we proceed to Bellevue to watch Snowflake Lane.

» Bellevue «

Bellevue is a city in Washington State of the United States. It is located on the east side of Seattle and across Lake Washington.

» Snowflake Lane «

Snowflake Lane is an annual nightly holiday parade features colourful lights, snow fall, and dazzling performances. A 20-minute outdoor parade premiers at exactly 7:00 pm.

Last year, Snowflake Lane, presented by Bellevue Collection, celebrated 15 years of magical evening performance starting from November 29 to December 24, 2019.

» Admission «

There's no entrance fee to witness the event. Yes, it's free to the public. You just have to pay for the parking fee. But there are free parking garages at The Bellevue Collection. Just make sure to arrive early because of the road closure. The road will reopen shortly after the show.

Kindly refer the map below for the route:

» The Experience «

We arrived early and had an early dinner before the event. The mall was jam-packed and there were lots of kids and kids-at-heart.

As we left the mall, we looked for the best spot to watch the show. It's truly a one-of-a kind holiday experience! I really enjoyed the 20-minute show.

The ticket prices varies depending on the date and seat selection.

I took advantage of the BlackFriday sale and bought a seat on First Tier section, which costs USD 74 (inclusive of tax).

» The Experience «

Fast forward to the afternoon of December 23, 2019 at McCaw Hall. The lobby was filled with a huge Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations. I also saw The Nutcracker standees and merchandise.

As I claimed my ticket and watched the performance, I was fully captivated with the overall production. The whole production team were well-rehearsed. Even though I'm no longer a kid anymore, my heart was captivated with the magical story.

Shot from Ending Credits

Frankly, it was my first time watching a ballet performance. After this, I'm looking forward to watch more ballet performances in the future.

After my roundtrip ride in Seattle Monorail, I walked for a few meters until I reached MoPOP. This was the last attraction that I redeemed from Seattle CityPASS.

Just a recap on the attractions that I redeemed from Seattle CityPASS: Argosy Harbor Cruise, Seattle Aquarium, Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass and lastly, Museum of Pop Culture.

Museum of Pop Culture, established in 2000 and founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, is a museum designed for contemporary music and science fiction.

» Admission «

Below are their rates (as of April 2020) but if you will purchase Seattle CityPASS, you will spend less:

Senior Rate (Ages 65+):   $25 (online price) / $27 (walk-in price)

Youth (Ages 5-12):
$19 (online price) / $21 (walk-in price)

Members:                         Free

Military (with ID):             $22 (online price) / $24 (walk-in price)

» The Experience «

According to TripAdvisor, it is one of the must visit in Seattle. I attest to that! This museum is mind-blowing starting from its exterior architecture up to its interior. It has everything and pretty laid-out.

It's a great visit while the weather was gloomy outside. It's definitely a mood changer!!! I enjoyed my stay for 2 hours.

To make most of your visit, visit it early or at least 2-3 hours before the closing time (which I did).

» The Exhibits (Level 1) «

The entrance and the exit is located on the first floor. There's a huge staircase to access the second floor.

Hall of Fame

JBL Theater

» The Exhibits (Level 2) «

As you climbed the staircase, this massive sculpture entitled IF VI WAS IX: Roots and Branches can be seen. It is also visible on the third floor.

All galleries can be found on the second floor. The famous Sky Church and other museum stories can also be found here.

» The Exhibits (Level 3) «

I enjoyed my visit on Sound Lab because I got to hold different types of musical instruments such as electric guitar, etc.

Unfortunately, the admission on Minecraft: The Exhibition was not included on Seattle CityPASS. I also didn't buy one so I can't share it here.
